Sony has revealed the free games available to PlayStation Plus subscribers this month, and they’re great.

Bloodborne

Developed by the studio that introduced the world to the Souls series, FromSoftware’s Bloodborne took the sub-genre to a new level with a gothic/Lovecraftian setting, fast-paced gameplay, brutal combat, and a thought-provoking story.

Yes, the critically-acclaimed Lovecraftian nightmare that introduced the world to the dark secrets of Yharnam will be coming to PlayStation Plus in March – and we can’t pretend we’re not excited for a whole new swathe of players to get a taste of this incredible world. – PlayStation Blog

A game that personally I would rate extremely highly, Bloodborne is a must play for PlayStation owners, and if you have a PS Plus subscription and haven’t already played, Bloodborne needs to be in your downloads.

Ratchet & Clank

Essentially an updated remake of the PS2 classic, Ratchet & Clank is another game that PlayStation owners should be familiar with.

Boasting jaw-dropping visuals, a tongue-in-cheek wit and some of the most down-right bizarre weapons to ever grace a video game, 2016’s Ratchet and Clank celebrates the very best of the series. Updating and expanding on the original game, this remake adds new weapons, extends levels and adds a whole host of new collectibles for you to hunt down.

With Insomniac currently working on the upcoming Spider-Man title, Ratchet & Clank is a fine alternative to just sitting and waiting for the web-slinger to grace your console.

Other PS Plus games

Also included from March 6th are the following; Legend of Kay Anniversary (PS3), Mighty No. 9 (PS3/PS4), Claire: Extended Cut (PS Vita/PS4), and Bombing Busters (PS Vita/PS4).

PS Plus news

As of March 2019 it has also been announced that the service will no longer focus on PS3 and Vita games, and will instead be primarily dedicated to PS4 titles. This means that gamers have another year of free PS3/Vita games, though they won’t be around forever. Games that have already been downloaded will stay in purchased libraries; therefore players won’t have to worry about losing any when this service ends.
