It’s happening, Capcom has officially revealed that Devil May Cry 5 will be gracing our consoles. Get your pistols ready, your sword arm trained, and prepare for the demonic invasion of a lifetime.

At Microsoft’s E3 this Saturday, we got our first taste in the form of an action-filled trailer, staring Nero and his partner Nico, as they leap headfirst into the fray. It seems that years have passed since the demonic legions of Hell invaded our world, and this time, the threat takes a slightly different form. See for yourself, in this trailer reveal.

It seems from this trailer that the pair of ‘heroes’ are searching for the elusive Dante, if only they’d stayed until the end of the trailer to find him, but alas. It seems that, at least in one of the scenes, the demons are swarming from some kind of tree, probably the aim of the mission that they have shown. This tree is also pictured when the game title is shown, spiralling into the sky, which leads the watcher to the suggestion that this will be the main focus of the game, perhaps an entrance into Hell for the protagonist(s)?

It’s been a whole 10 years since Devil May Cry 4, and while I was one of the few that enjoyed the new DmC: Devil May Cry, I’m jumping on yet another hype train, destination – Demon Tree central. Welcome back Dante, we missed you buddy.

The game is expected to release early 2019, and hopefully, we get some more juicy details, perhaps even some spicy gameplay to tantalise our tastebuds. Stayed tuned, and practice your patience, young one, this technically challenging octane-fueled thrillfest will be worth the wait.

Hyped for Dante’s return? Let us know in the comments, or over on Facebook & Twitter!
