The free games for July have been revealed to be Heavy Rain and Absolver on PlayStation 4, with more available on PS3 and PS Vita.
Heavy Rain (PS4)
With the recent release of Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain is free to download for PlayStation 4 owners this July. Originally a PS3 exclusive, which released in 2010, the game challenges players with an array of puzzles and clues which must be solved in order to stop the infamous ‘Origami Killer’.
A deep, atmospheric narrative-driven gameplay experience, Heavy Rain established the branching story-telling approach which has become Quantic Dream’s signature. Remastered now for PS4, the game looks and plays better than ever. If you love a slow-burning crime drama, or have only recently discovered the studio’s work, then you’re in for a treat.
Absolver (PS4)
Next up is Devolver Digital hack-and-slasher Absolver, developed by Sloclap. The game offers both PvE with up to 3 co-op players, and PvP in the form of combat trials.
