ER Patient Typhoon Splash

The article that looks at any interesting games that have or will be releasing today. They may or may not be good. But the point is they look interesting. Because indie games need more love, and the fun of playing games needs to be rekindled. Less business, less negativity, more of the pure joy of gaming.

The Door in the Basement

The Door in the Basement is an atmospheric pixelated horror game set in a mysterious subterranean world.

The Door in the Basement Tunnel
Absolutely adore the look of this title, pixel graphics in all their glory

After going through a mysterious door that appears in the basement of your family home, you are transported to a strange subterranean world. With the doorway closed, you must navigate the dark tunnels to find a way out and discover the mysteries that brought you to this place.

The ER: Patient Typhon

Welcome to the ER, where the patients wake up with missing body parts. Your memory is a bit foggy because of the terrible accident. Lucky for you, our doctor has a wonder drug that will make you heal in no time. So, do as we say and stop wondering why there are never any visitors.

ER Typhoon horror splash
Horrific seems to be the one word I would use to describe this title well

You wake up alone in a small, cold cell at the emergency room, Saint Icaros. You must unravel the dark secrets behind why patients are dying of strange diseases and how you lost your arms. It’s your only chance to ever leave this ER alive. But, solving secrets, and surviving supernatural and human beasts is not an easy task when you are armless. Be prepared to use your wits, hide and run.

This title was originally The ER, one of the best selling itch.io games of its day, holding the number 1 spot for a period. Originally a demo, the developers have finished creating a fully fleshed out nightmare and here it is… one of my must plays over the next few weeks, for sure!

Wild world

This is Wild World, there is danger at every step.

Simplistic top-down fun will ensue

As an engineer, you need to fend off waves of opponents who want to destroy the main generators that help you survive.

A game that looks as simple as can be, but may be a fun distraction for a good few hours. Reminds me of titles like Helldivers or that radioactive farming sim I keep forgetting the name of. Fun and short romps both!
