PlayStation 3 cult classic Demon’s Souls, arguably the game that propelled studio FromSoftware into greatness, is getting remastered for the PS5 by remake veterans Bluepoint Games.
Bluepoint, who have worked on titles such as the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Gravity Rush Remastered, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and Shadow of the Colossus (PS4) are taking on the task of reviving the unforgiving dark fantasy RPG that started a genre.
The following video from IGN shows the comparisons between the opening cinematic of Demon’s Souls, as the visuals and sound get a welcome update for the new PS5 console. Some areas even look to be getting a potential complete makeover.
Demon’s Souls, which will again be a PlayStation exclusive, is yet to receive a release date, but should either arrive in 2021 or as a launch title at the end of the year.
