So many games are released on Steam each week it’s next to impossible to keep track of, if you’re keen to keep up-to-date on new Indie and AAA releases you forgot about, here’s our list of the most exciting titles being released next week.

Anything we need to add, let us know! It’d be great to get community input on what people are looking forward to, so we can spread the news on the developer/title!

AAA Titles

Crusader Kings 3

Paradox Development Studio brings you the sequel to one of the most popular strategy games ever made. Crusader Kings III is the heir to a long legacy of historical grand strategy experiences and arrives with a host of new ways to ensure the success of your royal house.

This may be the only game you need this month, if you’re a big fan of the original. Create your own history, rule your kingdom with complexity and depth never before seen, and experience all the stories within.

Iron Harvest

A classic real-time strategy game with an epic single player campaign, multiplayer & coop, set in the alternate reality of 1920+. That’s why you can see a walking mech in this screenshot.

To me this is a perfect combination to bring the rather overlooked genre of military RTS into a more mainstream position, I’m certainly not bothered about Private Ryan trying to take out Private Johnson, but I certainly am bothered about walking steel tanks firing cannons at each other.

Indie Titles

Spinch

Transcend the material realm and assume your true form as Spinch, a hyper-agile organism consumed by the quest to rescue a litter of its missing offspring, in this side-scrolling, psychedelic platformer from the mind of award-winning Canadian cartoonist, Jesse Jacobs.

This bad boy looks like exactly the type of platformer I enjoy. A fun one. Hopefully I’ll be dying over and over again in this psychedelic world real soon.

Stellar Warfare

A real-time space stategy game with ship customization. Design your own ships, compose your fleet and use it to face off against other players. You will create your own in-game base with powerplants, refineries and base defences to ensure a healthy economy.

The developer, Tense Games, doesn’t have any other prior games under their belt, so this one will likely be a hit or a miss. But I’m sucker for Sci-Fi RTS games, so it made the list. Here’s hoping it’s a hidden gem!

Ary and the Secret of Seasons

Take control of the seasons and use them to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and discover the beautiful world of Valdi in this award-winning indie adventure.

Quaint games that remind me of the golden age of the PS2 have a special place in my heart, and this one strikes that chord. Adventure in a wonderfully animated world with a quirky band of characters? Yes please.

Endurance – Space Action

Endurance is an exciting story-driven adventure shooter and a prequel of Ailment, one of the most downloaded pixel art mobile action games in the last year.

I adore pixel art games, so I’m willing to look past the fact this comes from a mobile title. Perhaps. This one I’ll likely see how other people react to, before picking it up. Watch a stream or two. But it could be promising, I’d certainly suggest keeping an eye out for this one.

Lantern Bearer

Lantern Bearer is a tough platformer about a small bear that falls into a dark and mysterious well. Choose your own path and claw your way back to the surface.

It’s a platformer that looks similar to Celeste, where you play as a bear. The game name is a pun, the developer name is a pub, what’s NOT to like?

Mines of Volantis

Dig for rare minerals, upgrade your harvester and unlock research to escape from planet Volantis.

While this doesn’t look as polished as many of other games that are similar, like Factorio, if you’re bored of the more commonly played titles, this may end up being a nice break. It depends on how simplistic or deep the base building and survival system ends up being, and if the game keeps on being updated to implement new things, like other titles similar to it have been.
