PS Plus: Free games for February 2019

Hitman

Along with games such as For Honor and Hitman, PS Plus subscribers can also look forward to an upgrade in their PlayStation cloud save storage.

For Honor

First up is close-quarters combat game For Honor, developed by Ubisoft. Here, players can choose between classes such as Knights, Vikings, and Samurai warriors as they wage war in over 20 PvP maps.

Hitman: The Complete First Season

Next is Hitman: The Complete First Season. A game that probably requires no introduction, Hitman allows players to take control of the infamous assassin Agent 47, as he tracks down and takes down his targets in a number of creative or simple ways. The game promotes improvising, experimenting, exploring and mastering as players travel the world and use it as their “ultimate playground.”

Other PS Plus games

Also included in this month’s line-up:

  • Divekick (PS3, PS Vita)
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)
  • Gunhouse (PS4, PS Vita)
  • Rogue Aces (PS4, PS Vita)

On top of this there is an upgrade coming in “early February” to subscribers’ cloud save storage, increasing it from 10GB to 100GB. Welcome news if you need to be able to pick up where you left off on another console.

Sony appear to be going all-out this month after previous backlash against the value of their PS Plus memberships. The two main games included; Hitman and For Honor, represent steps in the right direction as they are big titles that many players will not have had a chance to play yet, and can now do so for free.

The PS3/PS Vita games will also interest many, as they include the unorthodox fighter Divekick, as well as the masterpiece that is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This does, however, mark the end of free PS3 and PS Vita titles, as of March 8th they will no longer be included alongside PS4 offerings.
