This month’s free PS plus games are looking a little lacklustre, however they include zombies & plants, tennis and a brand-new battle royale.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends (PS5 & PS4)
Revealed at Sony’s recent State of Play Hunter’s Arena: legends, despite having an extremely generic name, is a PvE and PvP battle royale game.
The premise is that you have to battle both human players, “hunters” as well as demons that you encounter during the match. During our July 2021 Rollcast Ramblings episode, we noted that gameplay (see above) looked a little unpolished to say the least. In any case it’s a free PS5/PS4 game that some BR enthusiasts might get a kick out of.
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville (PS4)
The series that never seems to die, Plants vs. Zombies returns with Battle for Neighborville.
Originally released in 2019, the game features multiple different classes to choose from, and allows players to fight PvE hordes or go one on one against others online.
EA’s off-the-wall team shooter returns. Ready your peashooters for the next over-the-top instalment in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise as the tension expands beyond Neighborville into new social and free-roam regions on the outer reaches of gaming’s most contested township.
