The biggest gaming convention of the year, E3 2020, has just been cancelled due to fears of spreading covid-19 virus.
After careful consultation with our member companies regarding the health and safety of everyone in our industry – our fans, our employees, our exhibitors, and our longtime E3 partners – we have made the difficult decision to cancel E3 2020, scheduled for June 9-11 in Los Angeles.

This means that many fans will have to wait to get news on their favourite games and surprise announcements, as the developers decide when and where to announce their upcoming projects.
Rumours have been circling that a new Batman game as well as a new Harry Potter title were to be shown off by WB Games at the show. A deep dive look into Microsoft’s Xbox Series X was also likely, but these will either have to wait for another event, or be unveiled separately. Sony were scheduled to not attend this year, as they did in 2019, and will be revealing the PS5 later in the year.
