CD Projekt Red have revealed a massive 48 minute long gameplay video for their upcoming title Cyberpunk 2077.
The gameplay video, seen above, goes into immense detail into the world of Cyberpunk 2077, showing off the character customisation, combat, missions, and atmosphere of the game.
The game is in first-person, and looks to be completely immersive, sucking players in with incredible world building. CD Projekt Red are no strangers to this, as in their previous game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, everything was fleshed out to give a real sense of a living, breathing game world, and Cyberpunk 2077 looks to be no different.
The player controls V; a fully customisable mercenary trying to eke out a living in the neon-urban Night City. The city is a heaven for crime, and as the gameplay reveal goes on it is explained that, “Many forces are fighting for control of Night City, but the mega-corporations are the real showrunners.”
“Since Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG, preparation will be key when dealing with Night City’s powerful, especially when these are corpos.” This suggests that player upgrades, obtained via specialist vendors called ripperdocs after completing side-missions, will be vital to success.
Cyberpunk 2077 looks to be one of the most interesting games of this generation, with multiple ways to play, explore and approach each situation. CD Projekt Red are yet to announce a release date, however the game is rumoured to be coming in summer 2019.
